What a week

Nothing really to tell but it's just been one of those weeks.  So a deep breath and a big smile as it's nearly the weekend and I'm off to see my most wonderful friend Anna after work tomorrow.  So I'll get to sit in her craft room, make stuff and all in her in fabulous company - happy days, bring them on.

In the meantime I have a couple of cards to share with you.  These were recently published in Cardmaking & Papercraft.  All of the papers are from My Mind's Eye - I love the texture on them and the sentiment stamps are from different Papertrey Ink stamp sets.

Super Saturday

A lovely way to start a Saturday is cuddled up on your friends sofa with one of her little people giving you a squeeze.  I headed home after lunch as I've got lots of homework to do - magazine work and preparation for a new launch ;-)  So although I've been busy card making I can't share those with you just yet but I can share the rest of the cards that were made for Papercraft Essentials.   This first one I'm putting forward for the challenge at:

Busy but happy

I've been in a product development meeting all day today.   A long but very productive day and lots of fabulous new things planned for the next 12 months and beyond :D

It meant that there wasn't much time for crafting today but it did mean I got to spend the night at my friends again and aslo can share these cards with you that were recently in Papercraft Essentials.  They were all on the theme of shaker style but in bright colours.  I used papers from My Minds Eye and lots of gingham ribbon and buttons.
To get perfect bows with both tails at the back try using a bow maker.  I use the one that's on the Ultimate Pro from Crafter's Companion.

Special Saturday

What a fabulous treat.  My wonderful and crazy friend Jen from Edinburgh is in Manchester for the weekend and I got to go for dinner with her and her lovely friend Richard. 

I also got to eat great food - gnocchi with steak and tomato sauce.  It was delicious.

What else have I done today ... crafting of course.  This first card was inspired by challenges at:

I love the pink and the black together - very striking.

I love this sketch so much I made 3 cards!  The paper is also some of my favourite.  I'd almost run out of my stash of Quite Contrary from My Mind's Eye, so was ever so happy to receive a mini paper pad on the front of a magazine.

 

 

Now I'd better finish my packing as I'm of to CHA in Chicago very early tomorrow morning.  I know I've said it before but I really do love my job.
