Wedding Invites

No, not me! The daughter of some lovely friends I dance with is getting married so they wanted some ideas for Wedding Invites. Some of these aren't completely finished, just bits a pieces for a pick and mix selection. She fancies quite simple and embossed hearts. They're off in the post, so we'll see what she things.

Lemons and cherries

It must be Pancake Day/Shrove Tuesday. So although I'm back being good and following Slimming World I decided not to go without and treat myself to a couple of pancakes. They're one of my favourite foods and so easy too. I did however make the right choice for my toppings - lemon and Splenda and for the sooper dooper ones, fresh cherries and Muller light vanilla yoghurt. Totally delicious and not too many syns.

In the frying pan - just Fry Light - no oil.

Healthy toppings

So worth the syns - delicious

I've Been Tagged

I've been tagged by Lyzzy! She knows I like fun things. It's the Middle Name Game. I have to post the rules before I give my answers so here goes:
List one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name use your maiden name. If you're tagged you need to up-date your blog with your middle name and answers. At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. Oh and don't forget to leave them a comment and tell them they've been tagged.
Here goes.....
L - loud
E - energentic
S - silly
L - lovely (if I don't say it who will!!)
E - entertaining (or so I'm told)
Y - young at heart (big kid)

And now having quite a long middle name means I have to tag 6 people, so I've chosen Jaffers, AnnaD, Kae, Jenrigg, Paula and Heather.

Crafty Companion

We had to giggle when we saw this little fella at the the craft show. He'd been sneaked in on the lap of his owner under the blanket, he seemed happy enough and was looking forward to using his new CD's when he got home!

Happy 30th Birthday Vickie

We were lucky to be invited to a great party for an amazing young lady. Vickie is 30 on Monday. We know her through her wonderful Dad, Alan. Thank you for letting us share this special evening with you. It was a great party and your speech was perfect, although you should know better than to let your Dad have the microphone!!

Just a flurry

Well this is what I was greeted with as I left the house on Saturday morning. Luckily I'd seen the weather report the night before so I'd got up a bit earlier just in case. It wasn't too bad once I got off the close, although it was still flurrying when I got into Manchester. Fortunately the snow stopped falling which meant people still ventured out to the Stitch and Creative Crafts Show at Manchester Central (formerly known as G-Mex), so we had another busy day.

L'il cuties

Another couple of cuties from the Crafter's Companion Everyday CD and so easy too. The words are added directly to the backing paper using the inbuilt verse writer and then printed directly onto cardstock to make the base card. The pig and lamb are both of one of the toppers sheets and nice chunky decoupage when you want a 3D look but don't have much time.
