Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge

Yes, another month has really gone by and it's the 1st June!!!!  Which means it's time for a new challenge over at the Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge Blog.  Now there's a slight hiccup as I thought the challenge was Jubilee but in fact it's Time to Embellish.  So I went ahead and got very patriotic and made some bunting.  So my project is mainly cardstock - lovely Core'dinations of course.  I guess I could say I'm embellishing my house - hurrah, it still works!!

It was made with my eCraft just using basic shapes.  I love it.

I hope you have a fabulous Jubilee weekend.  For me it's a busy one with dancing in Reading, then back up to North Wales for a bridesmaid dress fitting before heading back to the North East.
As usual life is a whirlwind.  I have been crafting but just forgetting to photograph stuff before giving it away!
Happy Jubilee

Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge

As it's the first of the month it's time for a new challenge over at the Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge Blog.  This month the challenge is "Summer" and for me that means bright colours and the little creatures you see around in the summer.  So I called upon my eCraft machine (Edna-May) to make a summery set of birthday cards.  Everything is cut on the machine using most the Jen Allyson designs SD card.  That includes making the 5" card blank (yes you can make your own card blanks!!), the frame and the cute little creature.

Supplies used:
Card - Core'dinations core essentials and Tilly Dot
Ribbon - satin

I'm looking forward to seeing what everybody creates for the challenge, it's open all month so let's get ready for summer and join in the challenge.

Thanks for popping by.

Who stole April!

Seriously, I can't believe that April is nearly over and I haven't blogged since March! Going out and having a life sometimes does get in the way but it is fabulous fun. Since my last update, I've had two adventures with my friend Jaffs, one to Inverness & one to a boot camp in Northumberland. I also had a great weekend at Ally Pally, had an adventure on a train to visit my Anna which included bringing home a box of cakepops, have been to the theatre to see Midnight Tango and Shrek, both were totally amazing. In between I've been working hard, making wedding invites and table settings, plus my dancing shoes are getting lots of airings. I love the guys & gals up at Swing Tyne, they've got a great scene going on.

Also as my last post was the Craftwell blog hop, I have a winner for the Crafter's Companion voucher. It's Linby - congratulations.

Although I've been busy I have managed to play with some paper & glue. Here's a little set of Cards I made:

I'm not too sure how well this post will look as I'm trying to post it from my iPad, so i may be back to edit it yet!

I am super excited about today's blog post as I'm very lucky to be taking part in the International Craftwell SPRING BUNNY blog hop and I've got a give away for you.  As those who pop over here occasionally know, I love my eCraft machine (Edna-May) and everything I can make using her.  Today I've gone Easter crazy and there's the cutest basket, a fabulous egg gift box and the sweetest Easter card, plus a little cake/display stand.  The files are from the hottest SVG site - www.SVGcuts.com

How cute is this little chick in her Easter bonnet!!

My Easter goodies

I love this egg

Even better it has chocolate inside!!!!

And of course we must have an Easter basket.  I am totally blown away that all of these projects are just made from card with a little bit of ribbon.

This weekend

Yay for the weekend and for me it's going to be a good one as I'm off to visit my fabulous friend Anna.  I'm having an adventure on a train due to the fuel "crisis" (give me strength!!).  I just didn't fancy the hassle of worrying about fuel all weekend.

I know I haven't shared much recently but that's because I've been out dancing lots and the crafting time I've had I've been finishing invites and playing with my eCraft and making a super project ready for the Craftwell Spring Bunny Blog Hop, that takes place tomorrow (11am here in the UK).  Here's a little sneak peek of my project.

Please drop by tomorrow and leave a comment as there's a chance of winning a £20 Crafter's Companion gift voucher!!!

Right got to dash, I've got lots to do before catching that train.  See you soon.

Happy Mother's Day

Good Morning

I know I'm a little early for Mother's Day but as I'm away dancing at the Cheltenham Balboa Festival this weekend, I thought I'd share this card with you.
It was inspired by challenges at:
My Time Made Easy - sketch challenge #52
Creative Inspirations - Something for Mum
Papertake weekly - for the girls or Mum

Supplies used:
Card - Core'dinations whitewash (Crafter's Companion)
SVG - rambling rose (My Time Made Easy)
Paper - first edition new leaf
Stamp - daily design sentiments (PTI)

I love that flower and they're so easy to make.  Just card, ink, an SVG and of course Edna-May my eCraft machine.

So where have I been for the last couple of weeks I hear you ask?  Well work has been exceptionally busy but that's a good thing.  Also I've decided that all occasions in life should be spent on a ski slope, so I headed back to Morzine and Chalet Thalassa for a week of skiing and great fun with amazing company for my birthday!
Since I've been back, I've had a planning trip to IKEA (there will be many more) with the lovely Leann Chivers, made leek and potato soup, and finished 70 wedding invitations for my wonderful little sister.

I'm off to Cardiff and Bristol today and Birmingham on Monday to visit some customers.  Plus I'll get to see my lovely friend Anna this weekend, in between dancing.  Yes life if full to bursting at the moment but would I have it any other way ..... not on your nelly!!

Have a great weekend.

All that Glitters

As expected this week has been super busy, but after a trade show, that's what you want.  It has meant that my crafting time has been extremely limited.  The Make It Monday challenge over at Papertrey Ink this week was glittering buttons.  So as I was so short of time I wondered if Spray & Sparkle Iridescent Glitter Spray would work and it did like a dream.  No real mess either, perfect!  So with all those glittery buttons about I made a set of 6 cute cards.  I was also inspired by challenges at:
Allsorts Blog Challenge - It's your choice
Cute Card Thursday - winged things

How cute are those glittery buttons?

Supplies used:
Card - spring moss, melon berry, stampers select white, dark chocolate, aqua mist by PTI
Stamps - everyday button bits, round and round, masculine motifs, up, up and away by PTI
Inks - spring moss, melon berry, berry sorbet, lemon tart, dark chocolate by PTI
Glitter - spray and sparkle iridescent by Crafter's companion
Dies - Mat stack 4, layerz 4
Buttons - PTI

Having worked 13 days without a day off I decided it was time for an evening of dancing last night.  I had the most wonderful time at Easington Welfare - they have the most gorgeous dance floor.  I had loads of great dances and it's so nice to stay out late but then have no hangover on a Sunday, just sore ankles!!
I gave my beautiful new red shoes their first run out last night and not only do they look gorgeous they feel fabulous too.
So if a girl is going out in a black dress and beautiful shoes surely she needs a pretty flower to match.  Seeing as I didn't have one I managed to rustle one up quick smart.  It's even sewn together, so for that reason I'm entering it into the challenge at A Passion for Papertrey - needle & thread

So I guess that was the weekend.  As I worked Saturday I've still managed to fit a lot in but could still do with some extra hours in the day.
Let's see what this week brings.
