Adorables CD

As well as the stamps we've been showing you this week, there's also the Adorables CD.  So you've seen some of the backing papers but this whole project is made with elements from the CD.  This is this first time a Jayne Nestorenko CD has had the same images on it as the stamps, so non-stampers you can still play.  I made a little box with a drawer in it and then made an easel card decorated with decoupage in a beautiful frame to pop on top.  I filled the drawer with thank you notes and matching envelopes, great for those thank you letters after Christmas.

For a step-by-step tutorial on how to make the box with the drawer on it, pop over to the Crafter's Companion website.  It's in the membership section but it's free to sign up and there's loads of free downloads and tutorials over there, so well worth a visit.
The punch is Martha Stewart.
If any of you make this box drawer let me know and I'll pop over to you blog to see what you've done with it.

As it's the weekend I've been doing quite a bit of crafting, some of which I can share with you and some that I can't just yet.  So here's the cards I can share.  This one was inspired by challenges at:
Clean & Simple - sketch 107

This one was inspired by challenges at:
Stamp with fun - wedding
Moxie Fab - offset scallop gallop

This last one was inspired b challenges at:
ICS - sketch #82
Stamp Something - spots and stripes
Ooh la la - stripes

The supplies used for this set of cards include:
DCWV Linen Closet patterned paper
Waltzing Mouse Vintage lables 10 stamps
PTI Giga guidelines stamps
Half just the edge cardstock strips - I'm loving these for when you don't have an edge punch with you.  You get 20 6" borders cut out of gorgeous Bazzill.  I've got the white ones and the brown ones.

I love having a day when I just get to craft and chill out - bliss.

Adorables Sneek Peak - Day 6

I know some of you will have seen the new range launched on TV yesterday but as my cards stay with me and don't go down to the TV as I need them for some upcoming demo days, you won't have seen this one.  How cute is this little boy - he reminds me of my friends little ones with all that curly hair.  The background papers are from the Adorables CD.
I'm popping this into the challenges over at:
Daring Cardmakers - Mask-erade - I masked the boy to make sure the window stamped in the right place
A Crafty Little Place - sketch challenge - I flipped the sketch horizontally
The Shabby Tea Room - tag you're it - I stamped my sentiment onto a tag
Fab 'n' Funky - what eva
Paper Cutz - use a tag

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to leave a comment on any or all of the days of my sneak peeks. The more days you visit the more chance you'll have of winning the prize which is a choice of 3 SWALK stamps, the co-ordinating CD and of course some Collall 3D glue gel because once you've tried it you can't craft without it!

Adorable Sneak Peek - Day 5 - Launch Day

Today is the official launch day for the new range from Jayne Nestorenko, it Adorables.  There's 6 stamps and one CD.  Here's another sneek peak of what I've been up to with the Waiting set.    For this card I've used the background stamp if the hearth and teamed it with gorgeous sentiment stamp.  I printed onto the ivory card from the CD before I die cut the card.
I'm entering this card into the challenge at:
Charisma Cardz - Try Something New (the new being a much softer look on a Christmas card for me and I used new stamps too)

Other bits and pieces used in the card include:
Kraft cardstock from PTI

To get the soft shading around the edges, I apply the ink in circular motions using the cut n dry foam.  I stamped the imaged in the same ink which allowed me to add some shading by using the ink as a painting medium.

Some new stamps popped through my letter box today, so I had to have a quick play.  They're 2 gorgeous sets from Waltzing Mouse, thanks Claire, they are gorgeous.  On this card it's the large frame that fits perfectly into the Nestabilities.
I'm putting this card into the following challenges:
Caardvarks - sketch
Allsorts challenge - New Beginnings
Totally Papercrafts - Let's go dotty

For this one I used:
Card - Craftwork cards ultra smooth premium cardstock (I love this card)
Sissix embossing folder
American Crafts Rub ons (reduced in Hobbycraft tonight)
Gingham ribbon
Waltzing mouse vintage labels 10
Ink - PTI sweet blush

As you can see I'm still in bookmark making mode and though I'd make a little bookmark, using the bookplate die.  It just slots over the top of your page.
Inspiration aided by challenges at:
Meljen Designs - back to school
Denami - colour challenge, pink, black and white

So yet again my PTI supplies were out:
Stamps - all booked up
Ink - hibiscus, true black
Card - white
Die - bookplate
Plus trusty my 1 3/4" punch
Some more good news, I made the Top 3 this week at Charisma Cardz - thanks girls.

I'm excited to bring you another sneak peek of the Adorables by Jayne Nestorenko.  Today I've used stamps from the Playing set.  I wanted to show that the images can be used as individual elements as well as making scenes.  See what Bev has done over at the Crafter's Companion News, Views & Inspiration Blog if you want to see the stamp with the scenic elements.  The patterned papers are all from the Adorables CD.
I also made a mask so I could add some Spray & Sparkle Iridescent to the fur on her coat.  I'll try and pop a step-by-step up next week to share how I do this.

Sneak Peek - Adorables

Being part of the Blog DT at Crafter's Companion means that I get to play with new products and for this launch I'm allowed and very excited to share some sneak peeks with you.
Jayne Nesterenko has designed a fabulous new collection that will launch on Friday 10th September on Create and Craft.  There are 6 gorgeous stamp plates and a CD and they're called Adorables, because they are.
This first sneak peek features the stamp set Loving.  Although it's a Christmas launch I decided to show the versatility of this set and made a birthday card with it.  I love stamps that can be used in lots of different ways.  I also decided that rather than colouring in her clothes, I stamped them onto patterned paper printed from the CD and paper pieced them.  It means you can get your backing papers to match exactly with your stamped image - clever huh?

The Copic Ciaos is used were:
Face - E00, E21
Hair - Y21, YR31
Cat - E31, E33, E35

All of the other CC Blog DT members will also be showing some sneak peeks all week so pop over and see their blogs, all their details can be found on the Monthly Challenge Blog.

To celebrate the new launch there will be daily sneak peeks on the Crafter's Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog  where there's a great give away too.

Not to be left out, I've decided to offer some blog candy too.  It will run all week with a winner picked out on Monday 13th September.  All you need to do is leave a comment on any or all of the days of the sneak peeks.  The more days you visit the more chance you'll have of winning the prize which is a choice of 3 SWALK stamps, the co-ordinating CD and of course some Collal 3D glue gel because once you've tried it you can't craft without it!
