SWALK 3 Sneak Peek

Wow, who stole the rest of January!  I'm super busy at work what with a trip to Paperword in Frankfurt and getting ready for CHSI (Stitches) - the UK craft trade show.  This Friday I'm at Inspirations by Cardcraft Plus in Preston, so I'm busy getting ready for that too.

We've also got a brand new launch this Saturday, it's 6 more gorgeous SWALK stamps and I'm so excited as one of the stamps is the iconic SWALK kissing couple and that's the one I've used in my Sneak Peek.

New Monthly Challenge

Yesterday I got asked how I'd made my ribbon ruffle, so I thought I share some step by steps.
First get some ribbon and a needle and thread.  As I couldn't find my threads I actually used some twine!

Sew through the ribbon, don't worry about the spacing too much.

Make sure there's still thread at one end and push the ribbon over the thread to ruffle it up.

I then attached it to the patterned panels as I would normally attach ribbon, with some double sided tape on the back of the panel.  Remember to stick down the thread as well as the ribbon as you don't want your ruffle to undo.  I then covered the ribbon with a scalloped panel to match the panel on my gatefold.

Another SWALK sneak peek

I'm happy to share with you today another couple of SWALK sneak peeks.  I love the fact that these two cards are so different.  That's what I love about stamping, the versatility it gives you.  So first up I've gone totally minimalist, apart from the ribbon which I'm loving the ruched effect.  This card was inspired by challenges at:

To soften the image I just went over the stamped image with a nearly dry waterbrush.

This next card has a bit more colour in it and I have the gorgeous and immensely talented Glittery KT to thank for the colouring in of the stamped image.  Yet another reason I love going away with friends for the weekend!

SWALK sneak peek

All in a good days work

I know I often say I love my job but it's true, I really do.  Today was one of those days that just made me smile.  I was at Cardcraft Plus at Preston doing a demonstration and met some lovely customers - thank you for coming by my demonstration table to say hi and a very happy 50th birthday to Sharon.

It meant I got to play with my SWALK stamps all day and made a couple of cards. This one was inspired by challenges at:

I love the way that from the SWALK CD I can print all my papers in the same colour tone and they just work together so well.  I've stamped the image again onto patterned paper to make her dress and layer up her hat.

Cute Card Thursday - whateva

I didn't get home until 7pm but luckily Steve had got some food in for dinner and cooked me a fabulous steak sandwich with onions and mushrooms.  Fully refueled I had a little bit of me time, which obviously means crafting.  Just two little cards tonight.  The first on being inspired by challenges at:

Happy Stamping

Although I love travelling and all the adventures I have one of the best thing about coming home is access to my stamps and pens.  So as soon as I finished work today, which was a bit late as there was lots to catch up on, I got out my SWALK stamps.  I'm loving these little beauties and with tonight's cards I've now used all 12 stamps.  I feel better about having the full set now!

A Couple of Cuties

Just a couple of cuties to share today.  I had lots to finish at work so not quite as much crafting as planned.  I decided to play with my SWALK stamps as I still haven't used them all!!  This first one was inspired by challenges at:

I'm not sure where the turquoise and yellow colour scheme came from but I like it.

This second card is a little more delicate.  I decided to try my watercolours with my SWALK stamp instead of Copics and was pleased with the softer look.  This card was inspired by challenges at:

Sealed with a Little Kiss

Sneak Peeks

Ohhhh!!! I am so excited ! Crafter's Companion will be releasing a brand new Collection of 12 Stamps and a CD, this new collection will feature as the Pick of the Week on Create and Craft from 11am On Friday 16th July .

This adorable SWALK collection is a bit different from previous releases and features some of the cutest characters and wonderful sentiments that are just so appealing. The CD has been designed to compliment the stamps perfectly and features gorgeous designs sets, borders, alphabets, inserts, verse writer etc, also included are 2 sets of co-ordinating papers plus the most amazing co-ordinating flowers that can be resized and layered to make fabulous embellishments.

To celebrate the launch Sara is offering the complete Pick of the Week to one lucky winner drawn at random at midnight Saturday 17th July and announced on Sunday 18th July.  To enter for the prize is really easy, visit The Crafter's Companions News and Inspiration Blog, and follow the instructions.

So now to the important bits, what have I made with my stamp set.  Well I got a bit carried away and made 3 cards, all the same but different.  I decided to choose lemony yellow but there's such an array of colours on the CD you could choose practically any colour. 

This first one I've used lots of elements from the CD - the image was stamped onto a 6" insert, the border was printed and then mounted down the centre of some lace and the 3D flowers are just printed off too and layered up.

I wanted to show you that you can use these stamps with you nestabilities and that they fit on lots of different card sizes too.
