On a bicycle made for two

Here's a special card that my friend who's a keen cyclist asked me to make. It's for her boyfriend who she often shares a tandem with.

A few more cards

I've been busy making samples with my Stampin' Up! supplies. I think I was in a pink mood! I've used a couple of different sets Spot On, Simply Said, Pick a Petal, Cheers & Wishes and my new favourite Spot On jumbo wheel - you just roll it across the paper and voila a stamped background. It's so quick easy and effective I love it.
The colours are Pixie Pink, Pink Passion, Lovely Lilac and Whisper White.

Also there is a flower for the lovely Jan who sadly passed away last Friday. It's going to be part of a paper flower tribute that some of her on-line friends are putting together. She was a great lady who put up a strong fight and will be sadly missed.

I've also been making some Christmas cards, a bit last minute but that's me!

And last but by no means least here's my latest advent presents. On the 10th I got this gorgeous keyring with my initial on and a bit of bling. Thank you for all my adorable gifts Shirl - I feel truly spoilt.

Today my gift giver changes to Jaffne and what a great start. 2 Sharpies in colours that I don't have and two ickle handmade soaps from Shetland. Thank you Jaffs and a very happy birthday xxx

Stoke on Saturday

Despite the terrible weather I headed off to Stoke-on-Trent, to a crop run by the wonderful Kathryn. It was well worth the journey, I had a great day and got to meet some more lovely people and the homemade sausage rolls (thank you Christine) were yum. I'm hoping to go back next year, especially as the dates for the Stoke crop and the dates for our Altrincham crop don't clash and the girls are welcome at Altrincham any time. I also managed to get some cards made with my Stampin' Up! supplies. I'll get them photographed and put them up here soon.

In my advent swap I got 5 dinky rolls of ribbon, they're delightful. Thank you Shirl xxx

Then it was off to the Christmas Do at the cricket club. It was so nice to catch up with lots of people I haven't seen for a bit and the buffet was great especially the pavlova. So despite the rush and having to miss some of Strictly Come Dancing, I had a giggle, especially with Jo (that's her and me in the photo), Anne and Cath.

The delights of Durham

I had to go to a meeting in Durham yesterday, which went very well. More news to follow soon. But as is my way I managed to fit in a visit to some lovely friends, Debbie, Jean and Gail. The company was great, even if our meal out was a little dodgy.

As it ending up being late, especially with Debbie and I chatting I ended up crashing on her settee - thank you. Which meant I got to meet her 4 lovely boys this morning. I've made it home now though and as usual still have lots to do.

In my advent swap today I got a mini pamper pack: hot chocolate, little candle, face mask and chocolate dipper for my hot chocolate - delicious. Thanks Shirl xxx

Altered Christmas and so much more

I have a few things to post about today, partly because I didn't find time to come and post yesterday! Here's my felt Father Christmas. I got him in a kit from Jean but rather than add the metal case that came in the kit I've used a photo instead - it made me giggle.

I've also been doing some Christmas cards for a friend of mine. She wants them to give to her friends that she goes cycling with, hence the bike.

And I've received two more gorgeous gifts in the advent swap.
Yesterday was sugar overload (yum) - two very large flumps, pink smarties and what girl can live without her plastic rain hood!!


And today a gift that made me get more than a little misty - OK - I blubbed a little. It's a delicious little handmade book all about me, Shirl, Jaffers and Lyzzy and when we met at Debden. Thank you so much Shirl, I love it and you lots xxx

Happy new home to my sister who has now got the keys to her new house. I hope the move goes well and you'll be very happy in your new home xxx

And I'm off to Durham now for a meeting and hopefully also to catch up with some of my friends up there and pizza.

Happy Packing

I've been to visit my sister and help her with some of her packing, as she moves house on Thursday. We dismantled her bed like two professionals, give us an electric screwdriver and we're off!

So back to my to do list. I'll be making Christmas cards tonight. Some are an order for a friend and I need to some for us to send too.

In the pink

Just a little bit of pink in this book that I've made. It's a commission piece and will be a present for a young lady who is going to be 18 from her friends. They'll pop the photos in and the tags will all be signed at her party.
