Roman Holiday

Today I've met up with some friends and headed off to Italy for a week.  We met up with the lovely Anna in Rome and had a fabulous first day finding our way around the city.  It's truely amazing with a stunning site around every corner.  Today we saw the Colleseum, the Trevi Fountain and so much more.  As always food was on the agenda and as soon as we hit the city we found a great restaurant with a wonderful waiter that seemed to know what we were looking for - a large selection of anti pasta and a bottle of Prosecco.

Anna's turn

By dinner there as only Anna & I left with any energy to go out and we ate at the restaurant next door to the hotel anad a delicious meal and a great waiter that looked after us.

So for day one of a holiday we got through a fair bit, including lots of laughs, travel in trains, planes & automobiles, plenty of good food, amazing sights and nearly a few tears with a slight mix up in hotels,  but the overall score for the day was a definite 10 out of 10.
Bring on day 2.
