Homework done!

Yeah, I finished both of my magazine commissions, including writing the instructions etc.  I still have a few bits left to do for Crafter's Companion but a little me time was needed and a couple of cards were made.
This first one was inspired by challenges at:
Tuesday Taggers - feature a house - I went for 2 little birdhouses
Creative Inspirations - Pastel green, pink and cream
Stamp something - something cute - well I think those bird houses are super cute
Saturday challenge - clean and simple
Totally Gorjuss - sketch challenge - I turned it 90 degrees

Bits and pieces used to make this card all came from Papertrey Ink:
Stamps - Daily designs & Daily designs sentiments
Ink - Dark chocolate
Card - Spring moss and vintage cream
Paper - 2008 Polka Dot basics
Tools - 1 3/4" circle punch, 2" scallop punch
For this next card it was time to get a little ink, but only a little bit.  I was inspired by challenges at:
Twisted Sketches - sketch #23 - clear - one of the buttons is clear
Crazy 4 challenges - book related
Sir Stampalot - all distressed
Stampin for the weekend - shabby or vintage - I went shabby

Most of the bits and pieces for this card came from Papertrey Ink:
Stamps - All Booked Up
Ink - dark chocolate and aqua mist
Card - craft and vintage cream
Paper - Library ledger
Buttons - aqua mist and twine
Ribbon and flowers from local shop

The lovely Leann also left me a Trendy blog award, in return I have to say why I started my blog.
It's some where that I can record my slightly bonkers life and share the bits and bobs that I make.  I love challenges as it gets me crafting and that can never be a bad thing.

I hope you've had a great weekend and found time to do what you love.  A weekend with Anna, especially with some crafting thrown in is music to my soul, so I'll start the week a very happy bunny.
Please pop back this week as we have some excited news from Crafter's Companion!

That's really nice, I love the clean lines - something I struggle with!

Thanks for playing Gorjuss with us.

Hi Ginger

Two really great cards, one so soft and elegant and the other a great distressed feel.

Is'nt it nice when you get comissions out of the way. The tuts are always the worse bit for me and human nature being what it is I always leave them to the last minute.

Thank you for sharing with us at Stampalot Challenge this month and good luck.
